Product Info
Background The 6x histidine recombinant protein tag is made up of 6 histidine residues attached to either the amino or carboxy terminus of the protein being expressed. The recombinant protein can then be purified using immobilized metal ions, traditionally nickel, in a procedure termed immobilized-metal affinity chromatography. Further analysis of the protein can be achieved using an antibody specific to the 6x histidine in techniques such as western blotting and immunoprecipitation.

Origin His (H20) is provided as an affinity purified rabbit polyclonal antibody, raised against a peptide containing the 6x histidine tag.
Product Details Each vial contains 200 µg/ml of affinity purified rabbit IgG, His (H20) DB063, in 1 ml PBS containing 0.1 % sodium azide and 0.2% gelatin.
Competition Studies A blocking peptide is also available, DB063P, for use in competition studies. Each vial contains 0.100 mg of peptide in 0.5 ml PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 100 mg BSA.
Form 200 µg/ml rabbit polyclonal IgG in 1 ml PBS containing 0.1 % sodium azide and 0.2% gelatin.
Immunogen Synthetic a peptide containing the 6x histidine tag.
Specificity His (H20) DB063 detects proteins contain the 6X His tag. His (H20) is recommended for use by western blotting and immunoprecipitation. The suggested western blotting starting dilution is at 1:200.
Use
Western blot analysis of polyhistidine tagged recombinant HspBP1 at 0.1 µg (A) and 0.01 µg (B).
Storage Store this product at 4º C, do not freeze. The product is stable for one year from the date of shipment
