Background |
Biotin is a water-soluble member of the B-complex group of vitamins and is commonly referred to as vitamin H. The high affinity and specific Biotin-Avidin interaction is utilized in immunohistochemistry, ELISA, and serveral other techniques. The four biotin binding sites on Avidin provide an amplified signal.
