Background |
Bovine serum albumin, BSA, is a 66 kDa that contibutes 80% to colloid osmotic blood pressure. Serum albumin is also the key component for maintaining blood pH. As a reagent BSA is very useful as blocking agent, carrier protien, and as a stabilizer for other proteins.
